I haven't updated this in a while

The snow spirits at first helped the party by preventing the circle's escape but thanks to the hate tank curse the snow spirits became enraged and attacked the party along with the rest of the circle. During the battle Val was slain anyway by a human seeker. But durin the battle the spirits unexpectedly calmed. Afterwards they found out it was the work of a Druid who had calmed them down. The party then left was met by the angel, taken to mokabaraka where they learned the circle had used some sort of berry to stay awake and enter. The party found some berries, used some rituals to multiply their number s they had thousands, went into the sleeping city of Mokabaraka, killed the circle. Left. Went to Fancing. Got rid of their curses. Found out that Selkies had broken the hearts of the crew that was to take them to the isle of dread. Got in the boat. Sailed to the isle of Dread. Almost there they ran into a battle. A fleet of Goblin ships led by Xzenk who had traded his soul to Gerydon for revenge and going after the party, was attacked by The FRost Squall, a pirate ship loyal to Levistus a devil upset with Geryon for stealing mokabaraka from him and Opesia's ship who was also fighting the frost squall.

The party boarded the Nachtur Flagship. The Hobgoblin ships were literal floating fortresses, large walled barges with a three story tower in the center and a single lower devk. Most of the lower deck was closed off to help the ship float save a single area directly beneath the towers where the till and a wheel were. The wheel was connected to a large paddle beneath the ship and pushed by bugbears. The ground floor had most of the deck and the tower, the deck was dfilled with Goblins ad the tower was locked. The party and the Blood Brothers boarded the Flagship, which was named the Legless spider and cleared the main deck of throngs of goblins while the hobgoblins inside the tower shot at them with crossbows and poured acid on them from the roof. While they were clearing out this throng, Kajuen entered her fox form and she and Lacuna went to the top floor of the tower to eliminate the acid pouring hobgoblins. The windows of the third floor were larger then the arrow slits of the other two floors making this a simple process. Next the party managed to break down the locked door leading into the tower and engaged the hobgoblin forces there and the Hand of Geryons ordering them. These Hobgoblins had been forcibly converted to to follow Geryon who in turn Followed Asmodeus and had already been warped by Geryon's influence with partial torsos growing out of their chests. The party defeated the Hob goblins on this floor and out of necessity took a short rest here, while the Hob goblins above kept harrying them. Kajuen went to the third floor at this time and flooded it with acid to ensure there was no retreat up above. The Party then entered thge second floor where the Hobgoblins had been waiting with their crossbows primed to eliminate the first individual to head up there. Thankfully they managed to trick the Hobgoblins with a feint before hand causing the hobgoblins to expend their arrows on a conjuration sent up by Bree. After this the party was able to eliminate the second floor hob goblis with ease. Above the top floor on the tower roof however waited Xzenk.

The Party engaged Xzenk who informed them that since he first fought Balok and Turoth in the Dawn Age Temple of Avandra, he had found the artifact there he had been seeking. A powerful Portal Core that was able to link hundreds of Portals across multiple planes and worlds into a seamless entity. Most of the portals it was linked to were destroyed as were most other Portal Cores in the Dawn war but this one still existed and functioned if only barely. But it was forged by Avandra herself and still had her essence in it. And if strengthened with deeds in the name of freedom its power could potentially not only act as a useful device for traveling, could also grant anyone their freedom. And Xzenk had intended to use it to free himself of Llolth, as he was an escaped llolth bound goblin. And was still under her influence. They also learned that when Balok escaped his own slavery from the Drow, he had inspired a slave revolt that was sufficiently bloody enough to convince Llolth to finally accede to Geryon's desire for an alliance, at least in a limited capacity. And had agreed to give Geryon Ownership of Both Xzenk's souls. Xzenk since his own death at the hands of the party the first time had since only managed to maintain some level of control over his own mind thanks to the Influence oof Avandra through the portal core. But be was still forced to fight the party. Xzenk had planned to try and find both of the deeds to Balok's soul and free Balok in order to give the portal core enough power to free himself. Xzenk already ha one core and Xzenk beseeched the party not to force him to fight.

The party did fight him on the roof, and thanks to the zone effects by Bree they were not having much trouble defeating him, Xzenk used the portal core to summon a throng of goblins around him and some assassin imps. And manage dto hold off but evenually decided to try fleeing to the third floor which was away from the troublesome zones. Before he could Balok used his Thunderwave Gauntlets to knock Xzenk completely off the roof down to Turoth who had stayd on the deck to help the Blood Brothers. Xzenk survived and continued fighting. Lacuna decided to try and steal the Portal core from Xzenk's forehead hoping to prevent him from summoning any more allies. She succeeded and unfortunetely without the Core inhibiting Llolth's and Geryon's combined Influence Xzenk lost his mind and mutated, with two large sprider torsos complete with legs erupting from his waist. This proved to make him a far more deadly foe than before. And the party despaired of victory when Lacuna managed to reinsert the portal core causing the Xzenk torso to pass out. The two spider torsos confused by this and weakened were easily defeated. During the spider stage they heard a Woman's voice come through Xzenk's mouth. This turned out to the Mistress Balok mursdered when he escaped the Drow, she had been resurrected by Llolth and placed in charge of exacting vengeance on Balok.

After the battle the party tended to Xzenk's wounds and decided to release him so he could continue his personal quest and hopefully release Balok's soul. After this the party boarded Opesia's ship. Where Opesia and Ruficel were both waiting on them. Opesia judged them according to her sphere and the party almost didn't pass and Balok and Turoth were ordered to help teach the pixie children as well as to accept Lacuna as their party leader. They consented, convinced Ruficel to give them their hostages, Zirri, the tank girl, KLarah, Turoth's lover and Lacuna's two parents. Lacuna tried to sway her parents away from the unseelie life but was unsuccessful though her parents seemed to have an interest in the pixie children.

The party goes after the Levistus Pirate Ship, the Frost Squall to keep her from becoming a problem later. Upon boarding the ship the party discovers that the captain has sacrificed her whole crew and is standing at the wheel whistling. In front of her is an orb on a pedestal and no apparent way to the lower decks. The partry at first ignored the captain and she ignored them as they tried to figure out the orb which they surmised was a puzzle lock to access the lower decks. The party discovered that if they touched anywhere on the orb except a single glowing spot the orb would freeze their hands to the object and reacted not at all to anything other then their hands. When touched the glowing spot it would move to the right of their finger. A clue on the orb's pedestal read "The patient hunter is caught by the prey." . The solution was to slowly drag their finger towards the glowing spot which would retreat in the opposite direction slightly faster then their finger. And they had to continue to do this until the glowing spot caught their finger. And this only worked if they moved slowly. The party tried everything but this, leaving this option literally until last. Which amused the captain so much she had trouble maintaining her whistling. Balok tried to hurt her for laughing but a powerful magic shielded her. On the second deck the found the store room aand saw another orb on the far side. The store room was littered with frozen flame and there were gaunt devils chained to the walls. The party decided rather then just kill the devils to see if one of them would activate the orb for them. All the devils but one cried to be the one chosen, that one got their attention. They interrogated this devil and realized it had valuable information it was simply afraid to share for fear of reprisal. So they decided the best thing to do was to kill the rest of the devils and free this one to interrogate more later. Kajuen offered the devil some spare soul energy, which was enough to get it to open up. And it even warned them that there was a trap that would activate when a devil was killed. So the parrty instead froze the frozen fire harder and positions it around the devils so they would all die at once, aallowing them time to access the orb and escape before the trap, which was the room turning too cold for life, to finish. The party succeeded at this and reached the bttom deck here they saw the cargho of souls, thousands of souls apparently chained together. The bottom deck was completely enveloped in a lattice of souls, a solo trap, that the party had to defeat. The Lattice of souls drained the trapped souls fopr power that it tuned on the party as the lattice of souls tried to ensnare the party's souls. But the party was able to dismantle it though they came very close to TPKing. Returning to the front deck they saw that the squall was sailing into a portal into Stygia, and that Captain Val Rannick had sacrificed her crew to open the portal. Val was not happy any longer as the party had released her cargo of souls. The party at first decided to try and fight her in the ten rounds they had until the ship reached the portal but realized they were both too weak from the fight with the lattice of souls and lacked the time to defeat her so they relunctantly left, with Bree tethering Val so she could not stop their escape.

Once escaped the party then decided to wait at the island ports controlled by opesia until they entered the shadowfell. Lacuna's parents gave the children candy which put them in debt to the parents opening them up to fey trickery. Lacuna got the children to teleport her parents away and surrounded the children with cold iron shavings so they couldn't be affected at night. But it turned out Cowardice had been given a piece of candy and saw an opportunity to get back in the Queen's good graces and tried to feed Carcadun drugged meat. She was caught in this but forgiven somewhat but forced to stay behind and not come with the party any longer.

The party then entered the sea of False Ships, a sea where every ship sailing through will see their shadowy reflections from different times, different possibilities. They were warned to remain still as it was very easy to get lost on a false ship by moving. However Turoth saw one shadow with his lover and her fiance upon the Blood Brother's ship and he angrily hurled a javelin at him. He struck and the blood brothers returned fire with their Javelins. Then Turoth leaped to that ship mindless almost to do battle. He saw an Drow named Korannos tied to the mast and she said she would help him so he released her.

Back on the Golden Drip however the new member, the Eladrin named Karen, summoned a fairie light that managed to dispel the effect of the sea allowing them to move freely upon their own ship. However this may have attracted the attention of the undead as shortly afterwards zombies and ghouls scaled the ship's sides. With Turoth insisting on battling the Blood Brother shadows, Lacuna and Karen were in a disavtegous position. In spite of this Lacuna as usual charged right into the zombies while Karen used her immense skill at teleportation to try and harry them. However it turned out the zombies were filled with enough putrid gas that when slain they exploded in a dangerous fury that often set off chain reactions. Fearing this damage Most of the party, including the Korannoss and Turoth after returning to the ship, avoiding destroying the Exploding zombies. Instead they focused on the ghouls.

Lacuna took a gamble by hiding within a pile of coins hoping to avoid the zombies however she did not hide well and was discovered and brutalized, taking a serious head injury though she was rescued by Karen. The party did manage to defeat the undead but were seriously hurt by t with Lacuna suffering the worse. They lack anyone particularly skilled in healing and even with all of them working together they were just barely able to keep her alive. Things could turn very bad very soon.

the party began to argue what to do with the new drow and barely noticed they were coming up upon the shore where an infernal ship manned by pain devils and chain devils guarded. It was the movement of the crew as they rose from below to man their positions. The two ships traded fire, as Opesia was steering the ship focusing on avoiding the shadow illusions he was unablet o maneuver well and in fact did not herself notice the attack. The forward catapults at first were the only weapons that could come into play on the Golden Drip, Opesia's ship while the devils were able o hit them with repeated broadsides with their ballistas and flaming ballista tongues. Thankfully Opesia's ship is fire proofed. Unfornutely her own catapults are loaded with flaming tar which had little effect on the devils. So little was done to either ship until they came into bow range. Here the two ships and the party fires at each other raking both decks but the more numerous, better equiped crew of the Golden Drip did a number on them. The party soon boarded the enemty ship except Lacuna who instead despite her head injury took command and ordered the catapults loaded with chains and launched at the enemy vessel which itself was wrapped in chains hoping to immobilize it and force it into rocks. With the party interrupting the ship's ability to fight it was soon grounding on rocks, its hull ripped to pieces and the survivors destroyed by the relentless fire from the golden drip. Unfortunetely the party was caught in its destruction as well but managed to survive.

Shortly thereafter the party decided to try and tend to Lacuna's head injury again but Balok, angry at having to treat Lacuna as his leader tried to sabotage the bandaging and was caught. He was imprisoned inside one of the Golden Drip's mimics as Lacuna decided what to do with him. Most of the party wanted to just execute him but Lacuna still felt there was some good in him and he could be saved, and with some advice from Opesia went into a long, long, long, long discussion with Balok. That ended with him sobbing.

The ship docks at a very well maintained port, pristine even, an unusual sight for the Shadowfell and its near an equally pristine city with huge towering walls. However there is no sign og inhabitation. The party is told that this city appears to be a mysterious Arkhosian city that the unveiled has taken over for their own purposes and it has a prison they can use to hold Balok.

As the party enters the city pristine and well kept, unusual or the shadowfell they see a sign welcoming the party it reads "Welcome your desires welcome all you welcome welcome welcome all here to the city you desire, you desire the city you desire welcome, welcome, welcome desired the desired welcome desired to the desired all you desired welcome is inside is everything you desire welcome."

I would definitely like to post my campaign stories. There are two problems, though. The first is that I have been on hiatus since July. My next campaign starts up in a week. The second is that I don't really have a lot of time to write out a narrative to summarize the events of the game session. If I could convince one of my players to do this, however...
